Powered by GoogleMy child received a gift certificate for 4 classes, after signing up and attending one class we will not be back. My child took the beginner preschool class. The teacher which happened to be the owner was rude to my child during the 45 min class. Telling her she was going to slow and yelling at her that she was doing it wrong. The teacher gave a 5 sec demonstration for each circuit, then expected 3-4 year olds to do said circuit without any assistance or reminders on how to complete the tasks. My child having never attended this gym before, never met this teacher before, was shy and reserved. She needed a little more support than what the teacher was willing to offer. After the class the teacher spoke with me and told me she recommended my 4 year old attend one of the classes with parent assistance because she did not have the time to teach or give assistance to my child. I told her that I would not be doing that, as this was her first time here and would need more than 45 mins to adjusted to a new situation and she has taken several other classes (swim, dance, tumbling) independently. As she would only have 3 more classes left to take, I was planning to just push through and finish out the classes. After we left, I was informed by a parent that witnessed my interaction with the teacher/owner, that the owner went up to another parent in a different class to talk about me and my child. This parent had no connection to the class my child was in nor the situation that took place. The unprofessionalism I have witnessed from the owner is truly concerning. Look elsewhere to enroll your children in gymnastics.
Take my grandson there once a week for a “Ninja” class. He and the other young boys, all around 5-6 years old are instructed by a young adult who has zero experience with kids. The instructor tells them what to do very quickly, never actually demonstrating the skill. There is little to no guidance or assistance. In addition, the instructor gets agitated when the boys are not listening and verbally scolds the group. Very disheartening to watch. The kids make the best of it and enjoy themselves for the most part. Imagine if they were learning and having fun, now that would be a “Ninja”class.
My toddler absolutely loves going to gymnastics class! The coaches are incredibly patient and knowledgeable, making every class fun and engaging for little ones. The facility is clean and well-organized, and the equipment is perfectly suited for toddlers. Each week, I see my child building confidence, improving motor skills, and have a blast with their classmates. The program also emphasizes safety, which I really appreciate as a parent. I highly recommend this gymnastics class to anyone looking for a structured, fun, and supportive environment for their little one!
Okay, my first review was abusive. I was angry. I'm sorry and updating this now. my daughter was clearly excelling beyond her class level. They always had a reason why she couldn't move up. Usually because they didn't have space in the upper level classes. We took her to the other gymnastics place in town and they immediately wanted her on their competition team. Some instructors we excellent and some were not. Good place for beginning levels.
This is the place for your kiddo. We’ve been at GymKind since our daughter was 18mo and we love it! The teachers have all been excellent and our daughter looks forward to seeing everyone each week. We LOVE being a part of the GymKind family and look forward to many years ahead of gymnastics fun!
