Nice trails with smooth dirt and a great jump line. Beautiful location, and the wildflowers were going crazy while we were there. Management left something to be desired, and we paid $45 a night to camp in a super sloped dirt lot next to a construction zone with no amenities besides portapotties. Also wanted to charge an extra $35 a head for pool access, and $6 for a rfid pass, including for the guy who already had a winter season pass. Riding was super fun, but I can't believe we left the beauty of Trail Creek campground for this
We stopped in for just the day. Did not stay on premise. If you are here during the summer like we were, Targhee has a lot to offer. Tw of us went moutain biking (trails for beginners to expert), disc golf, pool (20 bucks per person to enter pool area. The chair lift to the top was awesome. Great views of the mountain range and valley below! Chair lift is 30 bucks per person and you get 3 trips up and down. Well worth it!
Room was rustic and right in the action but walls were thin and floors quite creaky. Great pool and hot tub for guests staying. Amazing value here!! Slopes were fabulous, every staff member we interacted with was wonderful. I did have an accident so I had my first ever encounter with Ski Patrol and they were fantastic, calm, friendly, helpful and overall great. Would go back!
We had an excellent ski trip to Targhee with our family! We ended up renting skis for the kids, and the staff was incredibly helpful, knowledgeable, and efficient in getting them set up quickly. That made a huge difference and got us out on the slopes faster. We spent most of our day on the bunny hill, which was perfect for the kids to learn and build confidence. One helpful tip: if you’re renting skis for beginners, bring a bungee strap to tie the front of the skis together—it really helps first-time skiers. They were also very accommodating for our work trip. Our room was incredible, especially with the downstairs bunk beds. The kids thought that was amazing! We had a blast and will definitely be back.
