Great staffing and equipment along with a clean facility and updated paint and new carpet in hallways
We are staying in the area and using the Wapak ymca as our base club while recuperating from an injury. Utilized this nearby facility in New Bremen while the other’s pool was closed for maintenance. Have been to a lot of YMCAs in this area. This one is typical layout for the older built YMCAs. We mainly used just the swimming pool area, locker rooms. Pros: - Convenient location off a main highway - Plenty of parking. Easy in and out. - Helpful and very friendly staff!! - Great pool with lap area and general swimming area. Easy stair access into the water. - Although older, a really well working jacuzzi!! - Great hours for open swimming - Nice changing cubbies - Handy lockers Cons: - Towel service like the Wapak YMCA would be helpful - A couple wall fans in the womens locker room to help when you’re drying off and to help keep the floor dry - A couple carpet mats - one coming in from the pool/jacuzzi & one when you enter the locker room from main hallway would be incredibly helpful to keep the floors dry and make the floor more inviting to walk on - Some deferred maintenance items could use some sprucing up such as mildewed shower curtains (womens locker room), swimsuit spinner emptying into a bucket (womens), residue on swim area wood doors going into locker rooms, etc. Had a job posted for maintenance help. Overall, I would recommend this YMCA!
Very clean. Nice equipment. Only complaint is the weight room is cramped.
A great YMCA in the small town. Clean facility and friendly staff. There is a play area, whirlpool and sauna.
