The Kanawahala Program Center (KPC) is a 600-acre Girl Scouts of North-Central Alabama camp in Chelsea, with a 40-acre lake, swimming pool, low and high ropes courses, nature center, and crafts. It hosts resident and day summer camp for girls in grades K through 12, with canoeing, kayaking, paddleboarding, and archery. Girls do not need to be Girl Scouts to attend.

In addition to being a fabulous camp atmosphere for resident camp for girls, it is also a wonderful day camp for both girls and boys (boys up to age 12). My son attended and got to do archery, canoeing, fishing, climbing wall, swimming, and hiking. My daughter attended resident camp for two weeks and had an absolute blast! The rates are extremely reasonable! After seeing the facility, I am convinced that this would be a first rate retreat for businesses and families. The facility is gorgeous and the large conference building looking out on the lake would be ideal for all kinds of events.
