GG Ranch, also called the Double G Ranch, is a camp property on Chickamauga Lake just north of Chattanooga that the Gordon Street family made available at no cost to camps serving children with medical conditions. Its longest-running tenant is the Tennessee Camp for Diabetic Children, an overnight camp held there since 1954 for children ages 9-15 with Type 1 diabetes, which in 2027 runs a two-week session in June. The grounds have a main lodge with dining hall, an infirmary, a central shower house, swimming pool, archery range, playing field, open-air gymnasium, and five cabins each on the girls' and boys' sides sleeping nine campers and two counselors.
The practical details
We list only what the camp itself publishes, and programs change — dates, prices, ages and availability can all move after we check. Confirm the details on the camp’s own website and contact GG Ranch Camp directly before you register or pay. Last checked August 2026.

Powered by GoogleWhen unpacking my sister's suitcase i found clothes with feces in them. I am very disappointed in this because we paid $579 out of pocket for her to go to camp and this is the care that they get. This is ridiculous and unacceptable
They did a great job with education on diabetes. But the other awful habits they pick up that no one talks about. What happens at camp, stays at camp.
Our first summer at T1D camp and my daughter loved it and can't wait to go next year!
TCDC is the best diabetic camp around. We drove from Florida to bring my daughter. Great staff, the experience is one of a kind for diabetic children.
My daughter never misses Tennessee Camp for Diabetic Children that is held at GG every year. Beautiful grounds.
