ACA-accredited YMCA day camp at 470 East Freehold Road, Freehold, for children ages 6 to 15, with a separate My Y Preschool Day Camp for ages 3 to 5. The 10-week season runs late June through late August starting at 9:00am, organized around weekly themes; campers get recreational swim, sports and games, and can add specialty camps in archery, soccer, flag football, basketball, baseball, science and nature and chemistry. The camp holds Praesidium accreditation for child-abuse prevention, and financial assistance is available to families who demonstrate need.

★Gabrielle BlosserBased on my experience, I would not recommend the YMCA childcare program. I had several concerns regarding communication, professionalism, and incident documentation while my child was enrolled. There were instances where I felt proper incident reporting procedures were not followed, and there were situations that occurred while my child was in their care that staff could not adequately explain. I was also deeply concerned by behavior I witnessed involving a staff member making fun of a child with special needs, which I found unacceptable and unprofessional. As a parent, I expect childcare providers to prioritize children’s safety, follow proper procedures, and treat every child with respect and compassion. Unfortunately, my experience did not meet those expectations. I encourage parents to thoroughly research childcare options and ask questions about policies, incident reporting procedures, and staff training before enrolling their children.

Had to take elevator, by the time I got there, I was freezing and was hoping to warm up. The sauna was barely warm Steam room smells like old wet rug and not steaming well Took 10 mins to get hot water from the shower
★★Liz CarlinI love bringing my daughter here to swim in the outdoor pool but the YMCA needs to be better about posting changes to their hours on website and social media. I drove 30 minutes yesterday to bring her to the pool only to find it closed for some event that was happening which was not posted anywhere. I wouldn’t have gotten her hopes up if we couldn’t go swimming. Please YMCA give us a heads up when you aren’t actually open so we don’t waste our time and have to deal with toddler tantrums.
