Powered by GoogleTruly the best dance studio! Michele and her staff are so kind and have a real passion for dance and teaching their students. They’re all extremely knowledgeable and accomplished in dance, with an emphasis in ballet. They focus on technique and pour 100% into every child. A lot of their students age out and come back to teach which is really special!
Both of our children received top quality ballet training at First State Dance Academy over the past 11 years. All staff are knowledgeable, caring, and passionate about their art, as well as their students’ growth and wellbeing. Instructors are informed by their diverse and unique professional experiences to create a balanced dance education for students. Pricing is competitive with other studios offering similar classes. If you are looking for a studio that teaches strong technique and builds artistry, you have found it.
This year was the first year I put my daughter in any type of class, and I was fine paying for the class didn’t know till afterwards that they charge you extra for everything, it was getting to be to much. The costume I had to buy for my daughter was $80 and it was a cheap costume things kept falling off of it. I paid $47 to get a digital copy of the recital my daughter was in because we couldn’t record, it’s been over a month and I still haven’t recover that video. I was told twice that they hire some old couple to record and they haven’t sent them out yet. What really got me upset about this place it that when they received their costumes for their recital one day I was told I could help My daughter change upstairs which is where the classroom Is or in the changing room in the office I decided to go up stairs thinking their was a changing room up there to my surprise there wasn’t, and I noticed there were three or four dads in the room and one other mom and they were changing their kids out in the open. As soon as I noticed this I went back down stairs and changed her in the changing room I’m sorry I am not having my daughter change infront other adults hell no!!
The owner and dance teachers are very friendly, patient and knowledgable. They communicate well with the parents, I am always informed on updates with the studio and with dance. I would recommend this studio it's a great place for all types of dance.
