Ona creates such a warm and inviting space where my daughter instantly felt comfortable. Firefly Valley staff meets kiddos where they are as far as skill level and beautifully guides them to create pieces they are proud of. The community gathering daily during camp to reflect and appreciate each other is such a special practice. Would highly recommend for summer camps and hope to take a class myself!

Ona’s holiday ornament workshop is so sweet, and I hope it becomes a tradition for my family for years to come. Last year we made heirloom quality ornaments that truly impressed me. The whole process was fun and easy, and my kids loved it. We picked up our Christmas tree right after class and made some wonderful core memories with mementos to remember the day. Thank you Ona!

Firefly Valley has been such a magical space for our family over the 7+ years that we’ve taken classes with Ms. Ona. From the outdoor toddler class to the weeklong pottery camps, my son has loved each experience and has grown into a wildly creative little guy. Firefly Valley is a loving, calm and nurturing space that celebrates diversity and inclusion- something we need more of these days. The fresh outdoors are so inspiring and calming for my son. He’s met some fun friends outside of his school network through camps. I highly recommend giving these classes and camps a try. They offer homeschool classes and summer/spring/winter camps which are great for year-round school families.

My 12-year-old son had the opportunity to be a "Helper" during the Spanish Language Week in August 2025. He loved learning the basics of pottery on the wheel and enjoyed the other opportunities to build with clay and other materials during the week. This was his first time as a "Helper" and it provided a chance for him to be a leader. Ona was very supportive and set him up for success with the activities/games he led in the afternoon. After one year of Spanish classes in school, the Spanish Language Week allowed him to practice his Spanish skills in a supportive atmosphere. We are grateful for this incredible opportunity at FireFly Valley.

I am absolutely delighted I found this camp in my daughter's first school summer! We will hopefully be able to do it every year. She loved it, I loved it, and I feel so good about the community impact. This camp gives out scholarships to help truly be accessible to all families. Other camps may offer sliding scale but still be outside the range of possible for many folks! I LOVE that this camp starts later in the morning (10am) because we hate having to rush out the door every morning for school and I don't think camp should be that way! My daughter (6) has been talking about pottery camp for weeks now and it was truly a highlight of her summer. The teachers seem super loving and I adored the way they did the ceremony acknowledging each child for their unique self at the art show. We will be delighted to collect my daughter's ceramics year after year.
