My daughter has danced at Encore for 6 years. She was at another studio before where it was a weekly argument to get her to go. She loved to dance but wasn’t liking the environment. A friend recommended Encore Dance Academy. When I met with Miss Evie she was very welcoming, gave me a tour of her studio and answered all my questions. My daughter was hooked right away. She loves the fun atmosphere Miss Evie and her team has created. My daughter joined the competition team which has been an invaluable experience for her skills and confidence. As a parent I appreciate the size inclusive culture that Encore provides given the propensity for eating disorders among dancers. I also like the comradery between the dancers. Finally the price is comparable to other studios and the competition team fees are very reasonable and don’t require out of state travel. Finally, Miss Evie’s choreography is so much fun to watch. The jazz and hip hop dances are high energy while the contemporary and lyrical dances are beautiful. At the end of each season I check in with my daughter about if she wants to continue, try another activity or switch studios—I always want her to know she has a choice. The answer is always ‘No! This is year 3 for us and my daughter not only loves Miss Evie, but is developing so much as a dancer and in her confidence! My daughter has been at Encore for 4 years and we have loved it! Miss Evie is a great teacher, a great cheerleader, and really knows how to get the best out of each student! She has an awesome energy that you can feel the second you step into the building! We absolutely love Encore Dance! My daughter has been going here for a few years now and as participated in multiple opportunities for dance including the Ankeny parks & rec classes offered which allowed her to "get her feet wet" with dance. They have various classes for all dancer levels. The environment is unmatched in my opinion. Small enough to feel like home but big enough to show all their energy! My Daughter has not only been able to form some great friendships with other dancers, young & older, but I've felt the space to ask questions & gain relationships with the dance teachers & staff. We absolutely love Encore Dance Academy! Our daughter has been attending since she was 4 years old, and the growth we’ve seen in her confidence has been incredible. She looks forward to every class and truly enjoys being there. Miss Evie always has fun backdrops for picture taking and creates such a fun atmosphere throughout the entire year! The instructors create such a positive, encouraging environment where kids feel supported and excited to learn. It’s been amazing to watch Emma come out of her shell, build friendships, and develop both her skills and self-esteem.
