My five year old daughter took her first musical theater camp with Emerging Artists and would come home wanting to share with me the games they played and what Ms. Sonya taught her. The performance at the end was a great culmination of their work and adorably well done. I will definitely sign up again for more camps!

We had such a wonderful experience with Emerging Artists! Our 3-year-old was part of their Moana production and absolutely loved it—he's been asking to go back every day since it ended! The teachers are so patient, kind, and encouraging, and it was amazing to see all the kids shine on stage. A truly magical and confidence-building experience for little ones. Highly recommend!

I registered to receive emails from emerging artists so I could start receiving information about their camps. The director reached out and I explained that I was looking for a confidence builder for my daughter. She answered all of our questions and reassured me that this would be a great place for my child to have fun and build her confidence. After a week of camp, we got to watch as the kids put on their play. My husband and I were overjoyed to watch our daughter, not only have the confidence to say her many lines in front of a group of strangers, but she danced and sang with a huge smile on her face. It was definitely the win she needed and we can reflect back to this when things feel hard in the future. I am so very very grateful to Ms. Sonya and the culture she has created at Kick It Up!

Sonya is fabulous! She's not only a wonderfully creative person to work with kids, she can also bring out the most in them, whether it's a shy kiddo who needs to come out of his shell, or a people-loving child who wants to take center stage even when he has no lines in a scene :) Sonya is the best at making kids feel welcomed; she's fun, patient, and she also encourages something that's so much more prevalent in Europe than in our culture: getting kids to pay attention to one another. She works impeccably well with mixed aged children and [somehow] gets them to care for one another - not just the usual emphasis on individual worth that we tend to cherish so much. Thank you, Sonya, for all you do!

Sonya Henning of EAMTA has created a fun space and exciting curriculum for students to explore their inner creativity and let it shine it through dance and theatrical expression. The instructors balance the art of teaching team-building as well as personal self-expression, emphasizing and nurturing the strengths that are unique to each and everyone who participates. I highly recommend EAMTA!
