East Alton Ice Arena
Private
East Alton Ice Arena is an ice rink owned by the Village of East Alton and managed by a not-for-profit corporation, not a kids summer camp. It runs open skating, stick-and-puck sessions for adults and kids, hockey leagues and skating lessons, including a summer Learn to Skate session, and is the home rink for the East Alton Skating Academy and the Twin Bridges Hockey Association. The building has a pro shop carrying hockey and figure skating equipment, a snack bar, and ice available for private rental and parties.

Friendly staff, limited snacks, nice equipment for rental skates, offer buckets for beginners, very clean, even the bathrooms were clean
Great place to take your kids - pre-teens, and looks to be a safe and good social hangout for your teenagers or if you're an adult and not feeling too brittle, like myself. I take my niece and nephew from time to time during public skate sessions. They're 11 and 7, and the older skaters are responsible around them, and I have never had any issues. They serve food, snacks, and beverages, and I have friends who have had birthday parties for their children here as well, and they all had good experiences.
I've been skating and playing hockey here for over 25 years. This rink gets the basics right. The ice is normally very good, benches are big enough, locker rooms are spacious, the pro shop is adequately stocked and the concession stand is fairly priced. Management and staff are always very helpful.
I played a lot of hockey here. Solid place. Some of the staff are a little particular but it's the best ice around
