Powered by Googlei’ve been going to this school since i was 5 but i left in 7th and came back during 11th grade for SATS and i have mixed reviews about this place. It is an actual good school and they do want you to succeed and they will be doing so even with a lot of students succeeding but my times when i was a younger student its very harsh to say the least. Duc, Annie, and all of their long termed staff are very nice to you and are very helpful but they’re also very harsh i remember being yelled at and threatened because of how bad my grades were, i was in 3rd grade. A lot of the staff are young early 20’s adult even some 16-17 year olds some aren’t bright and don’t know how to teach some are good at teaching but the bad is they will threaten and even hit your students even kindergarteners. When i was in elementary there was a mentally disabled student and the teachers did not handle him right even yelling, threatening, and sending in police officers knowing he’s “slow” which of course, didn’t allow that student to react well even scarring him. But Duc is a good person, he is very very harsh but he has his heart in a right place he will give you money if you get good grades on tests, and if you get a 1500 on your SATs you will get a free trip to new york. This school is a good school if you want your kid to succeed but it is not the safest school if you don’t want your kid to get mentally or physically scarred. If you want to go to this school for tutoring and summer which summer is the most recommended and helps prepare you better to spend your money during summer than regular school years, you have to be absolutely trying and smart enough to go here you cannot be lazy or dumb. Please do not send your kids under 13 at least send them during summer when they’re going to 9th grade.
Went here grades 2-5 and it was the worst experience ever. After school we would be extremely hungry because we would have to stay until 7pm to be picked up, but all they would serve is low quality food and expect us to eat it NOT TO MENTION, I found a nail in my spaghetti once. Imagine if I could’ve ate it or another kid did? Absolutely horrible and obscene. Tables and chairs were also reused for years and the rooms were never remodeled. Tutors didn’t even do their job either considering a good pay and all they would do is give out packets and wouldn’t go over it, teach us, or help us. Only with homework questions. Id also like to say that Duc is incredibly two-faced as he tries to get a good image and look outside of the place but towards the kids he’s nothing but a rude, narcissistic and manipulative person. He would take u into the room, yell at you for your grades and expect you to get better just by that. This place treats kids inhumanly and I know many others to share the same experience.
I highly recommend this place! I was here for a year to prepare for the SAT and it helped me score a higher score than I could have achieved alone. P.s: I have met Duc Dinh. The reviews are media-hyped claims by people who have never met him, heard of him, or just angry kids.
It has been years since I attended this tutoring center. Recently my friend brought it up and I am shocked to see this establishment still standing. I have mental scars from the attempts of the teachers screaming at me and attempting to HIT me with rulers. We were forced to eat low quality food each day. When a establishment has such an extreme review ratio of one stars to five stars, it should show how fake the good reviews are. Send your children here if you hate them.
This place is good. The teachers are nice as well. They teach like actual teachers. I have a lot of friends there. Even Duc is super nice. Work is a lot but it is good. So I rate it a 4. The down side is that they have bad food.
