The Town of Dove Creek's Recreation Department, based at the community center on W 7th Street, runs a Summer Activities Program for Youth that meets three days a week all summer for children age 4 and up, plus two weeks of swimming lessons (eight sessions) for ages 5 and up. The department also runs youth softball, basketball, baseball, T-ball, volleyball, football and cheerleading through the year, with a stated focus on affordable programming for families and youth development.
