This rec center has been a landmark for our town for a very long time. Mr. DOUG TEW himself was known as a really good man who was kind and gave a lot to our community in service. The building is old but they have maintained it well. This is the office portion for the recreation department for the Southside of Dothan. The brand new Oates Park is where all of the activities are held now. There are ballfields, two playgrounds, bathrooms, a concession stand during ball season and a very nice paved and well light walking trail at the new facility.

Won't be back. Lifeguards don't enforce the same rules as each other. Even if your kid has a lifejacket on they can't leave the shallow end WITH you. Husband wasn't allowed to swim because they didn't approve of his swim clothing, had already paid for him and didn't even get the money back since he sat in the car the whole time. Run by a bunch of gossiping children. Go anywhere else, don't go here.
