It's so sad to see this place falling apart and slowly dieing because nobody cares. The buildings are outdated things are broken everywhere, and looks like it's been deserted. It's a beautiful place but it seems like nobody cares about the place. It seems as though they have given up, as you walk around you start to notice all the little things (and the big things) that have never been repaired properly or given the attention they need. Things are literally neing held together with chewing gum and duct tape just doing the bare minimum they can to get by. Everything is dry and dead there's no grass where it should be and weeds are over grown everywhere. I really hope they can get somebody that cares about the place and thst has some new ideas on board here, something needs to change, they're old ideas and old way of thinking is not working anymore.

I cannot say enough about this resort camp! From the staff who are super attentive & genuinely cheery to the beauty surrounding and the cleanliness of the place! 5 stars all the way! Absolutely the best place to go for refreshing! I forgot to mention the food each day was on point… each meal was so good!

We go here every year for our Men's retreat. It's awesome. It's everything that you experienced as a kid AT CAMP ... but now you are an adult ... at camp. It really gives the good ole "Camp Vibes". I enjoy the bunk beds, and the classic main camp building. It's beautiful and there is plenty to do and if not. We'll then there is plenty enough room to bring stuff to do. See you next year.

I would give 10 stars if I could. Joel and Ashley have poured their heart and soul into this place. Their communication and attentiveness are on point! They never missed a beat. I brought 60 students and 12 adults to the Double K and the entire trip from start to finish was a blast. They were so helpful with A/V equipment and even provided worship for us when we were in a pinch- which was outstanding! The art room exceeded all expectations and my students loved the experience of creating in the presence of the Lord. Definitely worth it! The studio was so beautiful. The food was great! The kitchen staff were amazing and kind! The rooms and dorms were clean and had tons of games available. Sledding was so fun, there were so many different sled options. I can't say enough good things about the Double K and Joel & Ashley and their staff. This place is blessed to have them and we are grateful for the blessing they are to Elevate Youth Ministry! Thank you for a weekend to remember!

This place is well maintained but definitely dated. There wasn't a lot to do as frozen snow covered everything. Their games like pool tables and ping pong were broken or falling apart. Snow tubing was the only real activity available but fortunately the kids loved it. The biggest issue was the cook started every meal instructing people take a limited amount the first time through. Almost every meal we ran out before anyone could get through a second time. They ran out of the main dish while people were still going through the first time and she was standing there looking directly at the empty trays so I asked, "Is there more of this?" She says, "If you want we can put more out" and immediately got another tray. Why on earth did we have to ask and of course we want more, not everyone had even gone through yet. The reason this bothered me is we bring kids who come from homes where they don't have much food and we spend a lot of money on these places for food only to be told "Start with just one piece..." I skipped one meal because they were almost out of the main entre with several students behind me had yet to make it through. Overall it's a decent place but it's definitely not anywhere near something like a Young Life facility. UPDATE: It's disappointing to see their response. Whoever wrote that wasn't even there and is more concerned with defending themselves than trying to understand what happened. I even gave 4 stars despite feeling it was much lower so once again we get some insight into the kind of people that run this place.
