Dig In Baseball is a Gaithersburg travel-baseball and indoor training organization that runs the Steve Ballance Summer Baseball Camp Series. The day camp serves players ages 8U to 15U at all skill levels (campers bring their own equipment and lunch), with instruction geared toward taking their game to the next level. The org also offers travel teams and facility memberships.

The communication leading up to the event was timely and helpful. The venue was spacious enough where you could watch and not be on top of everyone else. Checkin was painless. Both were very well attended by strong athletes and a wide variety of college representatives. The events were both organized well with plenty of staff available to make a very smooth day. Both events were indoors at a spacious facility in Columbia and Dig In made all necessary accomodations for the athletes to showcase their skills. My son recently participated in the Middle School Showcase, and it was eye-opening to see the level of engagement from high school coaches who took their free time to come out and teach our boys, all day long on a Saturday and Sunday. I remember thinking, these people truly love baseball. My boy is entering the 6th grade, so he’s a little on the younger side, but it was exciting to see him interact with real high school coaches. Their indoor facility worked well giving the players ample opportunity to showcase their skills in front of a wide variety of private high school coaches. These guys definitely know baseball and how to host a baseball event.
