Dance Project is a nonprofit dance school, festival and company based at the Greensboro Cultural Center downtown, supported in kind by Creative Greensboro, the city's arts office. Its summer camps for ages 3-7 sample multiple styles through themed weeks such as Dancing a Story, Dance Sampler (beginner/intermediate ballet, tap, jazz, hip hop and modern) and Dancing Thru the Galleries, run with local art galleries. Dancers ages 8-18 can instead take junior and teen technique clinics. Daily hours are not published.

Powered by GoogleI take adult dance classes here -- Absolute Beginner Ballet, Open Level Tap, and Jazz I/II -- and it's truly a place where anyone can dance! The classes are affordable, the instructors are knowledgeable, and the atmosphere is welcoming to all ages and experience levels. If you've ever wanted to dance, this is the perfect place to start (or continue).
Dance Project is amazing and our experience has been so great that it brings tears to my eyes. They have treated our son as family and been so incredibly inclusive!!!! It truly is dance for all at Dance Project!!!
Dance Project is AMAZING inside and out. Hands down the most professional and high quality studio in Greensboro, if not the Triad or all of NC!! It’s a caring NPO that’s affordable for anyone in the community. They are focused on providing innovative, inclusive programs for all ages and levels of dancers. You won’t be disappointed.
My daughter loves Dance Project. It's intentionally fun, not rigorously miserable. The faculty clearly love their kids. Best of all, there are no 6-8 captive audience dance recitals with crazy expensive costume costs. It's just about the dance! I'd give another star if it were an option.
I've been taking the Wednesday night ballet III/IV class for a few years now and it has been such a joy! Chelsea is one of the best ballet instructors I have ever taken from...she brings so much joy and energy to each class and encourages us to improvise and create within combinations... something I have definitely not experienced in a ballet class. Wednesdays are a big highlight for me during the work week!
