I enrolled my 7-year-old son in this program hoping for an experience centered on growth, encouragement, faith, and dance. While I appreciate the time invested in the children and the successful recital, I ultimately left disappointed by the way concerns were communicated to our family. Throughout the season, my son’s father and I attended every practice. We were actively involved, monitored his behavior, and addressed any issues that required correction in real time. We took our responsibility as parents seriously and worked alongside the instructors to ensure he was meeting expectations. Over the course of the season, my son showed tremendous growth. He went from being hesitant about dancing to confidently learning the choreography and performing on stage. In fact, he remembered the routines exceptionally well and performed better than many of the children in his group during the recital. We were incredibly proud of the effort, commitment, and confidence he developed. Unfortunately, after the recital, I received communication that focused almost entirely on behavioral concerns without acknowledging his growth, dedication, or successful performance. I was also surprised by the suggestion of a meeting to discuss strategies and accommodations for his success, particularly when concerns had never been brought to us in a meaningful way throughout the season despite our attendance at every practice. As a parent, it was hurtful to see no recognition of the progress my child made. The communication left me feeling as though he was viewed more as a problem than as a child who had worked hard, grown significantly, and contributed positively to the performance. A program that promotes faith, encouragement, and youth development should celebrate children’s growth while also addressing areas that need improvement. I also believe the program could benefit from additional structure, supervision, and communication during practices to help young children succeed and to address concerns as they arise rather than after the season has concluded. Every family’s experience may be different, but ours left us feeling that our child’s accomplishments were overshadowed by a focus on negative perceptions. For that reason, we have decided not to return.

We have been apart of MDA for over six years. My daughter loves it and always looks forward to the new season. I love how she has grown both as a dancer and in her personality. I'm forever grateful for the founder/director Regina creating a safe, affordable ,faith- based, confidence boosting environment; not just for my daughter but for all girls to blossom into phenomenal young ladies. Each year the company grows and continues to offer more ways for dancers to develop their craft through the myriad of styles available. The atmosphere is family oriented and the staff is wonderful! I recommend Miriam's Dance Academy 10/10

My daughter absolutely loves Miriam's Dance Academy! The teachers are kind, personable, & skillful! Not to mention the academy is faith based! The dancers spend time with God at the end of each dance class. We love this program & I look forward to my youngest daughter joining her next year as well:)

My daughter and I are new to Miriam's Dance Academy (9/2023). My daughter is 5yrs old and currently taking ballet & tap. She loves both classes and the instructors. The director Regina is sweet, understanding and very patient with the kids. We're always greeted with a warm smile from Regina and the teachers. The instructors are also patient & kind with the kids. I love how they pray with the kids at the end of each class. The communication is amazing!!!! Regina sends several messages throughout the week(email, text and Dance app) to make sure you know about weekly and upcoming events. This dance academy is not just about your child taking dance lessons. They are about building relationships at the studio and outside the studio. There is an upcoming event for the kids, their siblings and parents as well as a moms meet up. I am definitely thankful I found Miriam's Dance Academy!!!

Miriam’s Dance Academy has given our daughter a love for dance in an encouraging and uplifting environment. Excellent, fun, and encouraging are words that describe the instructors and staff at Miriam’s! The world of dance can be full of pressure but Miriam’s has cultivated an atmosphere that dance is a celebration and you are included in that celebration! We are so thankful for Miriam’s and the love of dance you’ve given our daughter and all the girls who have the gift of attending Miriams!
