Conservancy for Cuyahoga Valley National Park

Nature day camps run by the Conservancy for Cuyahoga Valley National Park at its Environmental Education Center in Peninsula, where campers investigate waterways, hike woodland trails and take part in hands-on science and creative projects inside the national park. Current offerings are week-long themed camps including Growing in the Valley (gardening and sustainable food production, for ages 6-17, with a field trip and morning and afternoon snacks provided) and Eco Photo Camp (alternative nature photography using cyanotypes, anthotypes and lumens, with lunch and snacks provided). The camp day runs about 9:00am to 3:00pm, with aftercare until 5:00pm on some weeks for an added fee. Financial aid is available to families who qualify under federal guidelines, with applications due at least two weeks before the camp start date.
