The CSU Environmental Learning Center is a 212-acre natural area on the Cache la Poudre River in east Fort Collins, run by Colorado State University's Warner College of Natural Resources. Its summer day camps are themed around nature exploration, conservation and habitat work, outdoor arts, environmental investigation, river activities and outdoor skills; all camps include walking the trails, going off-trail through the ecosystems, playing in and near the river, fort building and games. The site also has raptor enclosures and gardens, and its trails are open free to the public dawn to dusk.
