Here is our review. 🥰The most loving, inclusive, safest absolutely incredible camping experience we could have ever dreamed of for our son!! He experienced so many activities each day it was bananas!!! He had the opportunity to zip line, horseback ride, swim in the pool or lake, play in a huge bubble room, climb on the highest tower of crates, fish until his little heart was content, make s'mores, tell stories, laugh with friends, make crafts, jump on trampolines in the lake, bounce houses, the list goes on and on. When he arrived at camp a LONG LINE of amazing camp staff held signs welcoming Max to camp with all of his favorite things on the signs - Mario and Minecraft. Cheering his name. The last day they had a VIP day and the kids got to ride in a LIMO. Man we have stopped hearing about that ever since!! We were able to send him telegrams that we received morning and night each day he was there so he knew we were thinking of him while he was gone. He was assigned two big campers who kept a watchful eye on him and played all of his games and did all of his activities with him, insuring he was safe the entire time. They also have nurses on staff to administer his meds at the correct time of day and the correct way. Then they sent him home with a book full of memories and they put on a good bye ceremony for all of the parents to share in on all of the memories of the weekend. We honestly missed him like crazy but we never once worried about his safety. That is HUGE for special needs parents. Operation Shine Camp is such a blessing to our family and if you are considering it, think no more! If you are considering volunteering do it, the kids are the most amazing kids you will ever meet. If you are considering donating, you will never find an organization that give with its WHOLE ENTIRE HEART the way this group does. They have rocked our little guys life. And have blessed our family big time!
