Powered by GoogleHugh facility, plenty of areas to engage with. The raised walking track is a quarter mile in one lap.
Great place for families! The Columbus YMCA offers clean facilities, friendly staff, and fun programs for all ages. From fitness classes to kids’ activities, it’s perfect for staying active and connected. We always enjoy here.
Helpful staff, scripture on the walls, adequate machines and weights and the field house is crazy cool.
I’ve brought my kids to the Columbus YMCA multiple times this year, and while they’re members, I am not. On August 30th, I was allowed to supervise them in the Jump Zone without being charged a day pass fee. I didn’t use any facilities — just watched over my children. But when we returned the very next day, I was suddenly told I had to pay $15 to enter, even though my role hadn’t changed. Staff cited a policy supposedly in effect since January 1st, yet no one could show me where it was written — not on the website, and not in person. I spoke with two employees who tried to help but couldn’t locate the policy either. I was told to come back during weekday hours to speak with someone else. This kind of inconsistency is frustrating and unfair. If there’s a policy, it should be clearly posted and enforced uniformly. I expect better communication and transparency from an organization that prides itself on serving families and the community.
The Y in Columbus is an awesome facility but it is seriously SO Hot in the weight machine and treadmill area even in the winter. They seriously need some fans in here or to turn down the thermostat for the people who are actually working up a sweat. Update: I am not sure but I went back after my first review and I seems that either it was a fluke or they actually did check into it and get the temperature adjusted to a more comfortable temperature for working out. It was much better. Thank you!
