Common Ground Center is a nonprofit retreat center on 700 acres in Starksboro that hosts Camp Common Ground, an all-inclusive week-long family camp welcoming all ages. Children ages 3–12 spend mornings with counselors in "Kidville," while afternoons offer multi-age activities and lifeguarded swimming at the pond, and evenings bring campfires and talent shows. Lodging (tent, cabin, or lodge), organic meals, and activities are covered by sliding-scale fees.

All the amenities you could want, including rustic to more hotel like accommodations in the Eco-lodge. Connor was everything you want from a coordinator; friendly, helpful, responsive and communicated clearly & honestly about the site expectations. A great person to deal with. Everyone is still talking about what a great wedding we had. Having over multiple days was a great way for everyone to come together and soak in the atmosphere without feeling rushed. Even after we left, no one wanted to go home! Great value considering you can house up to 150 people for a weekend getaway.

We took a year off in between this year and last and all our children would ask is "When are we going back to Camp Common Ground", "Camp Common Ground is the ONLY camp we want to go to!". This year we returned and we had a great time. Yoga mornings, tennis, swimming in the lake, resident artist Sean Qualls and other artists and teachers gave us a chance to make beautiful silk scarves, homemade candles and other handicrafts. The food was delicious as always. Vegetarian and so tasty. Camp Common Ground is a place where you can do as much or as little as you feel like on a given day. All campers are friendly and feel like family by the end of the week. We will be back next year!
★★★★★Richard JenningsThis past July, we held my daughter's wedding at Common Ground Center (Neily and Connor). It was a full 3 day weekend event and it was fantastic. We started Friday night with homemade pizza made by Connor's father, uncles, aunts and cousins using the great commercial kitchen and the outdoor wood fired pizza oven. Later, we got together for a campfire and story telling. We started Saturday am in the Eco-Lodge common room with a breakfast catered by my sister and brother-in-law, Barbara and Rick. Guests were then able to take advantage of the athletic facilities and the swimming pond during the day on Saturday. The venue for the outdoor ceremony on Saturday afternoon was very scenic, and the center has many great locations for wedding party and family pictures. The reception was in the rustic dining hall and after a catered buffet, we danced until midnight. The younger guests then took advantage of left over beer and wine to enjoy another campfire. We wrapped everything up on Sunday am with a brunch catered by Connor's parents, Dennis and Gloria. The Common Ground Center provided a great facility to have an extended wedding party and celebration. It allowed our 2 families and friends to get together and really get to know each other.
