COGNiTiON Science & Discovery Center in Beulah runs a summer day camp for ages 5-13 built around hands-on activities, art projects, outdoor exploration and games led by camp staff. The centre itself is a hands-on science playground with 15 interactive exhibits, live animals, a maker space, marble mazes, brain games and a toddler area, plus a planetarium and weekend VR workshops. It sits at 232 N Michigan Ave and is open Wednesday through Sunday.

★★★★★Kendall RoseWe hosted my 6 year old son's birthday party on December 13 at Cognition and absolutely loved our experience! While we have been there many times over the years and our kids love it, I only recently thought of it as a birthday location. Having children with winter birthdays, the options are super limited (especially for preschool/toddler/young kids) and Cognition is a gem! We opted for a 4 pm - 6 pm/semi after hours event which was perfect for our group of 20 guests. We had access to the entire gathering place for our party, along with tables, chairs, coffee, and even help from the staff in setting up. The staff is so responsive and interactive with children, it even gave us time to socialize as parents without having to constantly monitor the kids. It was blizzarding out that evening, and even though it took folks awhile to make it to Beulah from Leelanau and Traverse City, all the parents said it was so worth it and such a fun memory for their kids. Birthday parties are an amazing way to financially support Cognition and we hope many other parents will consider it in the future!
