Our family spent multiple years with Coastal Kicks, and this season ultimately confirmed for us that it was time to move on. This review is not being written because of wins or losses. Kids lose games. That’s part of sports. The issue was the overall lack of consistent development, structure, communication, and follow-through over an extended period of time. What concerned us most was the impact it had on our son’s confidence and enjoyment of soccer. He started asking why practices never changed, why there wasn’t more structure or discipline, and why other teams seemed more prepared and developed. Hearing that from a child who genuinely loves soccer was what pushed us to finally speak up. One of the biggest frustrations was the disconnect between what is advertised and what families actually experienced. The club promotes professional coaching, player development, written evaluations, tournaments, and structured growth. However, many concerns raised by parents throughout the season were only addressed very late into the year, after frustration had already built up across the team. There were also constant situations where additional players from other teams were brought in for games, making it difficult for the kids to build consistency and chemistry as an actual team. Toward the end of the season, it felt more like damage control than long-term development. The hardest part is that this group of kids had a lot of potential and genuinely cared. The problem was never the effort from the players. To be fair, there are good people involved and some coaches who clearly care. But for families with kids who are highly motivated, passionate about improving, and looking for a structured competitive environment focused on long-term development, I would strongly encourage you to ask detailed questions before committing. At the end of the day, confidence and love for the game matter far more than marketing promises.

My son has enjoyed playing soccer at Coastal Kicks for many years. They have an excellent developmental program which has improved our son’s skill and has allowed us to meet some of the best families. We have lots of great memories with Coastal Kicks.

I would have given zero stars if i could. Believe the negative reviews if you’re seeing this because they’re all true. Their responses to review’s will tell you what you need to know. They make promises and do not deliver. They’re unorganized and communication is lacking. Every game we were pulling kids from Rec into a comp team. We were never given evaluations as promised. The kids were never given a position or trained. A goalie never existed we used the next age group up for our games. We never trained on our home field and maybe had 1 game there. Instead we were placed on a dusty school field where flag football was also in session. 2 tournaments are promised and we only got 1. Every game ended in Mercy with zero wins for two seasons. Don’t waste your time with C.K

We have absolutely loved our experience with Coastal Kicks. From day one, the coaches (our coach is Gio) and staff have been positive, encouraging, and genuinely focused on the kids’ development - not just as players, but as teammates. Our son has participated in multiple seasons, and each time he’s grown more confident and excited about the game. The environment is organized, welcoming, and supportive, which makes such a difference for young athletes. This past winter, we unfortunately had to miss several sessions due to asthma issues, and the leadership team (Jay) was incredibly understanding and gracious in working with us. That level of care and professionalism speaks volumes about the kind of club they are. We’re grateful to be part of Coastal Kicks and highly recommend them to any family looking for a positive, well-run soccer program. ⚽️

This is our 3rd year with Coastal Kicks and our son is having a great season with his team and coaches. Yes the organization has its ups and downs and could use a few changes, but overall it’s all about kids. And my son enjoys the practices and games with his teammates and coaches. Looking forward to a new season!
