The Clyde M. York 4-H Center in Crossville is one of the University of Tennessee's 4-H camps, open on a 192-acre site since 1950 on the grounds of a former WWII prisoner-of-war camp. Campers use an Olympic-size pool with a 125-foot water slide, canoe and fish on the lake, ride a zipline, and work in a woodworking center and craft house; the property also has a covered basketball court, sports fields, a wildlife center and rifle and archery ranges. Campers typically attend through their county 4-H program.

We went to tour the facilities to make sure my daughter really wanted to do the summer camp. The staff was super friendly, the campus was very clean with lots of activities for the kids, and the area was just beautiful. You can tell they put a lot of work and pride into taking care of their area.

What an amazing facility the Clyde M York 4-H Training Center is. Super staff that are so helpful with anything you may need. We were there for the Southern Region Teen Leadership Conference and had a fabulous time learning by doing...the 4-H way! Ps - love all the flowerbeds!
