Cleveland County Arts Council was questioned by the community about their use of AI to promote a children’s summer camp. Staff refused to respond to emails and chose to redirect concerns to a news paper article instead. Where they admit to the use of AI and accused community members of being disrespectful for pointing it out. I can’t say I will ever encourage anyone to utilize this once amazing community resource until there is accountability or changes.

My child went to a pottery clay class this summer. I gave 2 stars because when I 1st called I spoke with a women and she was extremely rude, she was short with me, like I was a inconvenience, So I wasnt going to sign him up. My child really wanted to go so I called back it was a Saturday and a young man answered, he was SO helpful and spoke kindly so I signed up with him. The kids were suppose to make a tik-tak-toe game and a puzzle. All week we were super excited to see how it came out and play with the things that were made. Come the end of the week they said their kil was broken we'd have to pick up in a week n a half later. So we picked it up and it was completely broken and in pieces and they put the glaze in with it for the kids to do at home. The whole week I thought they were building and painting (I even asked, "what are the kids doing today?" ) The teacher said painting the projects. Everytime I saw them the kids were coloring and drawing on paper. Needless to say we were quite disappointed! The only reason I gave 2 stars is because the young man I spoke with on sat. And the teacher were very kind. I would not send my child there again, very disorganized and not completely transparent about what their doing which when dealing with children as a company you should be EXTREMELY TRANSPARENT about everything. Also if you do want to try their camp call on Sat. The lady during the week is just not helpful, rude and Should NOT be in customer service. 🙄

I was in a group exhibition here in October and November. It's a great space with an excellent staff conveniently located in downtown Shelby. I highly recommend it for a family outing or date night.
