Powered by GoogleMy two daughters have been going to Classics since my oldest was two. We started in the Mom and me classes. Now she's six and attending camps as well as classes. It's always been a wonderful experience. The coaches are kind and positive and create a fun and safe environment for the kids.
The trainers are very experienced. They’re very patient and know what they’re doing.
Our first grader enjoys her class and we like the facility. The only complaint we have is that the group teacher doesn't ever seem to be able to pay attention to the many kids in all the different stations so the class is somewhat ineffective when a child needs help with a particular skill. So our takeaway is that as kids get older their class instruction gets better, but for the younger kids there is a dearth of attention so most kids (like ours) are just doing things wrong and nobody cares. And if you try to help your child from the sidelines you will be admonished lol. We will keep our daughter in her class for the fun of it, but if you have hopes of a talented young child getting expert instruction I would advise looking elsewhere.
From the owner down to the staff, I’ve never experienced such rudeness or unprofessionalism when dealing with children. If I hadn’t seen it, I wouldn’t have believed it. When you bring issues to the instructor(s), about toddlers physically being abusive to other toddlers, they just smirk and don’t do anything about it. The staff acts as if it is a bother when you ask them to simply do their job. they are responsible for the safety and proper training of the child, something they seem to have forgotten. My daughter has one more paid class and will be leaving. There is no reason to subject your child to their abuse and unprofessional behavior. Don’t waste your time or money, there are too many other good gyms around. I guess if enough parents stop bringing their children the owner might get the hint and do a better job. If I could give a zero I would have.
For so many reasons I will not list, I’m glad my family moved out of the area and we are no longer at this gym. There are many other gyms in VA that have a far better reputation and a much better/higher level coaching staff. Safety always comes first, along with having a well credentialed staff. Parents need to look around the entire state and region before picking this gym for their child.
