★★★★★M PastranoThis production of “The Trials of Alice In Wonderland” was marvelous! Compliments to the costumer who really innovated with new materials to create a whimsical and polished show. Her visionary approach struck a balance between the dreamlike nature of the original story and the humor and color of the Disney interpretation, all while inserting her own clever spin on the overall aesthetics. The music director also made certain that the young performers executed their songs with proper timing and pitch. The main director cast everyone perfectly and brought out so much in them, really amplifying the wit and humor of the production. I’ve seen a lot of “Alice” dialogue fall flat over the years on account of it being a Victorian era story acted out by children, but not in this production. The audience laughed because of the excellent comedic timing and delivery. Choreography was also exceedingly well done. The staff of CAT consistently hits the mark in motivating young performers to grow their artistic abilities. The team works tirelessly to add special touches to all levels of their productions. All their directors, costumers, choreographers, vocal instructors, and especially office staff wear many hats and are an absolute credit to our community.

The cast was incredible and Christian Arts and Theater all does a fantastic job with their productions. I think the only thing that had me wondering was why they chose to have such an older cast? There were barely any elementary aged children represented. But like I said overall it was great show!
