If I could give Cheer Extreme DMV more than 5 stars, I would. I have two athletes at this gym, and while they’ve absolutely grown in skill, confidence, and athletic ability, what stands out most to me is the way they are treated as people first. This is a demanding, high-pressure sport, but the coaches here lead with patience, encouragement, and genuine care. On hard days, my girls have never been made to feel small, embarrassed, or like they’re letting anyone down. Instead, they are supported, encouraged, and met where they are. I’ve watched coaches kneel down to comfort athletes, patiently help them through moments of frustration, and show kindness in the smallest details over and over again. What I appreciate most is that the gym doesn’t just build strong teams, they build strong kids. My daughters have both grown tremendously here, not just as athletes, but as individuals. Even while being part of a competitive environment, they are constantly reminded that they each have their own strengths, their own journey, and their own value. The culture at Cheer Extreme DMV is something special. It is truly the reason we chose CEA DMV and why we stay. The coaches expect hard work and accountability, but they balance it with compassion, positivity, and respect for the athletes as human beings. That combination is rare, and I’m incredibly grateful my girls get to grow up in an environment like this.

CEA DMV has truly become a second home for our family, and I honestly cannot say enough amazing things about it. From the moment you walk through the doors, you can feel the positivity, encouragement, and genuine care from everyone there. The coaches are not only incredibly talented and knowledgeable, but they are also some of the most motivating, supportive, and uplifting people we have ever met. They push the athletes to work hard, believe in themselves, and grow both inside and outside of cheer. What makes this gym so special is the atmosphere they have created. Every athlete is seen, encouraged, and celebrated. There is not a single coach here that doesn’t feel like family to us. They truly care about the kids as individuals, and it shows in everything they do. The amount of time, energy, love, and dedication they pour into these athletes is unmatched. This upcoming season will be our fourth season with the gym, and every year we become even more grateful to be part of such an amazing program. My daughter has grown so much in confidence, skills, teamwork, and resilience since being here, and I know so much of that is because of the incredible people leading her every day. The friendships, memories, and life lessons that come from this gym are priceless. If you are looking for a gym that feels supportive, motivating, welcoming, and genuinely like one big family, this is the place. We are beyond grateful to be part of something so special!

If you are looking for a welcoming, supportive gym with encouraging, knowledgeable coaching staff, then CEA DMV is the place for you and your athlete. My daughter started at 4 years old and is about to begin her fourth season with CEA. The amount of growth and confidence she has gained as an athlete during that time is truly remarkable and it's all thanks to CEA. They truly have the best coaches who pour their time into each athlete. We love calling CEA DMV our second home!

I absolutely do not recommend sending your child here unless it’s only for tumbling classes or possibly a worlds team. First, this gym is extremely unorganized and messy. Less than a week before showcase, we still had no idea where it was being held, and many athletes still didn’t even have their uniforms. On top of that, the uniforms themselves were disappointing because they didn’t even have rhinestones. The parking situation was also beyond frustrating. We were almost late to practice multiple times because there was nowhere to park. The gym itself is way too overcrowded. There are only two floors, yet most of the time there were 3–4 large teams practicing at once, plus tumbling classes happening at the same time. It felt extremely cramped constantly. The parent waiting area was another issue. There was rarely anywhere to sit, and the cubbies were directly behind the seating area, so athletes were always standing right in front of parents trying to wait. What stood out the most, though, was how unwelcome we felt. While most of the coaches were kind, the team environment was not welcoming at all. Team moms barely acknowledged us at competitions, and many of the girls on the team were unfriendly and cliquey. Some athletes had truly horrible attitudes, and the things being said were honestly shocking. It was disappointing to see that behavior tolerated. A gym should care just as much about character and sportsmanship as they do about skills. Also the routines were frustrating because the team was clearly capable of much more. They had athletes with strong skills and high potential, but the routines felt like the bare minimum for their level. Athletes were often given one chance to try a new skill, and if it didn’t hit immediately, it was taken out instead of being worked through. When stunts were struggling, the coaches rarely adjusted sequences or made changes to help set the team up for success. Certain team coaches were not very supportive and hurt a lot of athletes confidence. The team started to struggle as people began leaving, and it truly felt like they gave up on us. They brought someone with no experience onto our team, and from there it went downhill. Meanwhile, when the Worlds team needed a fill-in, they went out of their way to find someone from an entirely different state. That says a lot. Overall, the experience felt extremely disappointing. I expected much more from a gym with such a big name.

This review is solely on the parking for this establishment. I attempted to contact them via phone to discuss but unsuccessful. This company needs to talk to their atheletes parents about obstructing the road to other businesses. These parents block the road completely not letting other people pass to. It happens literally every single week. Its annoying and causes me to get my child to her practice late because they feel entitled and we are waiting minutes at end for them to move.
