The Charles E. Maedgen Jr. Theatre is a performance facility of the Texas Tech School of Theatre & Dance in Lubbock that hosts the university's youth summer theatre camps. Campers audition, rehearse and perform a one-act play and take classes in movement, diction, characterization, makeup and auditioning; a technical-theatre track covers stage management, lighting, set and prop design.

Powered by GoogleMaps is a lil confused since I'm here for a class, but I can at least report the building is nice, clean, and seems accessible (I did have to go on a scavenger hunt for the elevator but that could just be a me problem). Not sure what non-students do here. I think they do live shows.
A great place to be. A school to be proud of. A place of beauty all around.
We saw "Cycle's" and "Sweet Charity". Both were fantastic. It's a great venue and the performers were wonderful.
I've had season tickets to the Tech Theater for a few years. The Black Box is an awesome venue and it is cool to see how many different configurations they've utilized. I'm so impressed with the performances, facilities, and everyone involved. Looking forward to getting back into the big theatre this spring!
This a perfect place to spend an evening and see a play. The actors may students but they are very professional. We have been season ticket holders for over ten years and will continue to support Texas Tech to the end of time. I can hardley wait to see wjat thwy have planned for next year.
