The Carver community center has been a part of the Anniston community for decades. I remember when I was in high school over 22 years ago and I was a youth counselor for the good choice program and now that I have my own Children, who sometimes have played basketball there. I really appreciate all of the community helpers and staff that make it possible for this community to stay thriving within the community, I remembered Mr Steven Folks would always help all of the youth and allowed us to be apart of the good choice program that was located at Carver community Center. This center has always had a place for our youth to get together and just be kids, with so much adversity and peer pressure going on in the world. It feels good to still have a place where kids can call their own by just being kids, playing basketball and community counselors to talk to. thank you to all of the amazing people that help make Carver community center possible and still thriving in such a positive way in the community.

Small but it makes due. Didn't care too much for the decision to paint Masonic signs and symbols on the walls. Has a good size raised stage on one end. Overall nice, neatly kept, Clean, and great seats to watch the action on the floor or court. Great for volleyball and basketball.

It's been in the neighborhood for years. Children can go play basket ball, it even has a library for kids to read and learn. It's also on the west side of Anniston. Parents without cars that live close could take their children there. It even has a lil park in the back for children to play at plus a few yards away is a public swimming pool for the children also.
