Top notch courts and service

As a new member I love the racquet club. It is special and has fine members. I think there are a few areas of possible improvement. Some of the mains looked like they were chewed up and my crosses were not straightened by the stringing pro. You cannot really tell in the photos but compared to IRC and another home stringer I met locally where I get perfectly aligned strings, it shows lack of attention to detail. This is my first time getting my racquets strung by CRC and it is not a good impression. I do appreciate the stringing stickers though. I am grateful to have the bath facilities but they need renovation. We need to take the necessary steps to bring them up to Carmel snuff! A member and I were discussing that there should be more intraclub activities for members like singles and doubles leagues, round robins, tournaments, etc. for members to play together. Garneau Tennis and Beach Volleyball Club in Edmonton, Canada has great examples of member activities listed on their website for some inspiration.

I can't recommend Carmel Racket Club to anyone. From the moment you walk in, it's clear that this place is poorly maintained and lacks the professionalism you'd expect from a sports facility. The locker rooms and bathrooms are absolutely disgusting—dirty, poorly lit, and in desperate need of cleaning and updating. The seating areas are uncomfortable, and the entire place feels run-down. But what really makes this place stand out in the worst possible way is the staff and coaches. They're, frankly, awful. My daughter attended several clinics here, and even the kids in the higher-level clinics had no problem easily beating them. The coaches don't seem to know what they're doing, and they clearly aren't interested in developing players. Instead of being motivating, they come off as disinterested and unqualified. Additionally, the lighting on the tennis courts is horrendous—dim and uninviting. It makes it hard to even focus on your game. The reception staff only made matters worse by being rude and dismissive to my friends, and I was appalled to witness some outright racist behavior from them. It's shocking that this kind of attitude is tolerated in a supposedly professional setting. If you're looking for a positive experience for yourself or your kids, do yourself a favor and avoid Carmel Racket Club. Between the terrible facilities, unqualified coaches, and appalling customer service, this place does not deserve your time or money.

We love the club. The staff is friendly and so engaged especially 10 under tournaments. Wish to see more USTA junior tournaments in the club. A shoutout to the coaches and front desk staff.

Played a tennis tournament here and have to say it has been a 5 star experience. Staff is great, the facility is clean, and the clay courts are excellent. If I lived in Carmel, I'd join this club.
