We had never heard of Capoeira but thought a martial arts preschool could be a great fit for our little one. We are so impressed! So thankful to have found this school, the staff and have my little one learning martial arts everyday. Just with we had sent our older kids here, but my littlest will be joining next year! Physical activity along with the VPK educational curriculum is ideal for my littles at this age and this places checks all the boxes

I had high hopes for this capoeira aftercare program, but it was a huge disappointment. My child felt uncomfortable in the environment, and the lack of proper supervision was deeply concerning. On top of that, there is a high turnover rate among staff, which only adds to the inconsistency and lack of stability for the kids. To make matters worse, communication with the staff was slow, unresponsive, and completely unhelpful when I tried to address my concerns. When I made the decision to withdraw my child, I requested a refund for just one of the two weeks I had prepaid. However, they refused, citing their policy of keeping two weeks’ payment regardless of the circumstances. I am fully aware of their policy because I abided by it last year when we withdrew for personal reasons. But this time, we pulled our child out due to their failures—poor supervision, lack of communication, constant staff changes, and an uncomfortable environment. They absolutely have the power to make an exception when they are in the wrong, but instead, they chose to hide behind their rigid rules rather than take accountability. I understand policies exist for a reason, but when a child feels uncomfortable and the program is not meeting its responsibilities, there should be flexibility. A business working with children should prioritize their well-being, not just their bottom line. Between the lack of communication, poor supervision, constant staff turnover, and unfair refund policy, I cannot recommend this program to any parent looking for a supportive and responsive aftercare option.

My nephew has been apart of CapoKids for almost three years now and it’s been great for him! He enjoys it so much! We wouldn’t want him to go anywhere else for preschool and now afterschool!

Capokids is a staple in the Sarasota/manatee community. They have been around for two going in three generations and have helped to raise some great kids! My kids have been capo kids for over 7 years and I wouldn’t send them anywhere else! One of my daughters is actually pictured on the side of one of their vans! Great small business family run! Trust your kids with them, you won’t be disappointed!

My son attended Capokids VPK. I was worried that we would have issues starting VPK, because he dreaded daycare and would cry every morning. To my surprise, he loved it here! All Teachers were great and supportive. My son had lots of fun, never felt out of place and has learned so much.
