My son played in U11 CASA rec this year. It was pathetic to be nice. We had been playing on a travel team for a few years and it unfortunately was disbanded. We went to CASA because thinking it was more expensive, it would be better training and competition. My son's coach did not know soccer, by his own admition. All 6 or 8 teams had the same jersey. The first ref or 2 were great, but then they had kids barely older than the players trying, I mean trying to ref the game. Rules changed between drop kick or bounce kick for the goalie. Players were late to practice and even games. If you can play in any other rec league, do that instead. This is way too expensive for what they provide. Truly a scam

Our team from the Philadelphia suburbs played the 2013M team and got pretty badly blown out, ultimately a 7-0 loss. We only had two subs and three members of our team got hurt (nothing serious) in the game and had to sit out three quarters of the way through. The coach from Capital Area Soccer took one of his players off the field so the boys could finish the game in a sporting way. I thought this was the most upstanding and sportsmanlike thing to do and wanted to recognize the coach for not only his excellent team but also his excellent sportsmanship.

My two boys have been playing soccer with CASA for the last 8 years, in both REC and Travel. They have learned a lot, made great friends, and their soccer skills have grown so much! While the REC program does rely on parents to coach, they have changed the program to include practices with professional coaches and they do well with developing the kids skills, especially those who want to transition to travel soccer. All the travel coaches we have come in contact with have been amazing, especially Coach Gavin! My older son is now doing the referee program and is enjoying that as well!

Great soccer experience with much improved fields over the past years. The permanent concession stand addition (though some bias here) is great! Even selling Rita's! We have three children playing with CASA, 2 in travel and 1 in REC. CASA is relying on volunteers to coach the REC teams though offers a special program provided by CASA and a selection of their professional coaches to teach the children as well as the volunteer coaches. Yes, CASA had their troubles but much improved over the past couple of years.
