Canoe Island French Camp is an overnight (sleepaway) camp on a private 47-acre island in the San Juan Islands where campers ages 9 to 16 learn French language and culture alongside traditional activities. Sessions blend French cooking, theater and lessons with kayaking, sailing, archery, fencing and marine biology; no prior French is required and about half the counselors come from France. Small (about 50 campers per session), technology-free and ACA-accredited, with financial aid available.
