Camp of the Rising Son is a Christ-centered summer camp on 300 wooded acres in French Camp, a ministry of French Camp Academy off the Natchez Trace Parkway. It offers day camp for ages 6-9, traditional overnight sessions for ages 7-13, and teen adventure programs (rafting, horseback, astronomy) for ages 13-17. The camp is accredited by the American Camp Association.

★★JulieWasn’t a fit for us. One of my daughters counselors was, well, just..mean. The activities were a bit in-appropriately matched for the kids’ age. My rising 5th grade daughter went on a ‘fairy hunt’. Hmmm. The food was ‘ok’. The lack of AC ensured that we try the camp in early June last year but thank God we didn’t try it this year! Yikes!

You will not find a better bargain anywhere in the area for a quality Christian camp.
