There is NO BETTER PLACE for your child or teenager to spend a few days or a week at than Lake Forest Ranch! Having served in church ministry for decades, I've seen many camps for children and youth but nothing like Lake Forest Ranch! This is truly what a Christian camp is supposed to be like -- a place where children and teenagers can grow in Christ, worship in truth, make new friends, and have a great time all along the way. Spiritually, it is the best place I've ever known for allowing a teen or child to grow closer to the Lord. It is bathed in prayer and based on God's Word. At LFR, the kids stay in cabins with counselors who are "cream of the crop" and are encouraged to make friends outside of their own church group (if they come with a church -- the camp also has many campers who do not come as part of a church group). The speakers are engaging -- excellent speakers. During free time, students have options such as horseback riding, tubing on the lake, and challenging themselves in many different ropes courses. This is in addition to the other choices available at many camps, such as swimming, volleyball, basketball, and playing the games in the rec hall. As they bond with other campers during cabin time and the competitive team games, they make memories that last a lifetime. The staff truly focus on the campers and their main goal is to show God's love in all they do. Chaperones who attend camp get to have fun and participate with the campers, yet also having opportunities for their own spiritual growth and rest time. My children first came to Lake Forest Ranch as a baby and a toddler when I brought a youth group, they came back in later years when I brought the youth from a different church and in recent years (and even this summer) they have had several opportunities to return and serve there on work staff. Many of their dearest friends are those they met at LFR. I can give no higher recommendation if you are looking for a place that your child or teen can go to grow in the Lord and have a great week of camp!
