Camp Mosey Wood is a Girl Scouts of Eastern Pennsylvania overnight camp on 425 acres in White Haven (Carbon County) in the Pocono Mountains, founded in 1939. It offers seven weeks of summer camp for campers entering grades 1-12, with a 13-acre lake for boating, canoeing, paddleboarding, kayaking, and sailing, plus rock walls, a high-challenge course and challenge tower, arts and crafts, and tripping programs, with most campers sleeping in platform tents.

★Marisa MarsicanoWould not recommend. The girls (10 year olds) slept in tents that they were not permitted to close, for “safety” but were then bitten by bugs all night long. They did not receive one single piece of mail sent electronically via the bunk app or via USPS. They were asked to clean bathrooms without shoes on. The lake is a swamp. There is no pool, the swamp is the pool. The check out process was absurd. We had to dig through a trailer to find all of the girls belongings. Finally. The worst of all they got maybe two showers all week. They were told they were short on time!! Not at all a good introductory experience into camp.

Yeah sure, the zip line and lake (and more) make it a great experience, but that’s not the point of mosey wood. Mosey wood has given me so many good friends and memories that I still can talk to and laugh about, and I would still attend this camp if it didn’t have a the exciting activities, because, this camp, at its heart, is a family, and I think that’s the most important thing. So I highly recommend this to every Girl Scout of any age.
