My daughter absolutely loved her first time at sleep away camp at Camp Lakotah. She was a little nervous knowing she wouldn't have her cell phone with her. As was I! She also has a bit of anxiety so I was worried about that. I even considered checking in on her early (I know, I know... thankfully I didn't). She went to Lakotah with friends from school whose parents went to Camp Lakotah when they were young. The camp had been around a long time and the counselors all seemed very excited. It's also on a really nice property with a lake right there. My daughter had no issues at all. In fact, she didn't want to leave and can't wait to go back next year. I was so proud of her. I can tell that she was also very proud of herself. She loved the independence and all the outdoor experiences. This will definitely be a new tradition for us!

Camp Lakotah is like no other place on Earth! The staff is friendly & helpful, the facilities are well-kept, and the grounds are filled with beautiful nature (we even saw a fox!) We enjoyed delicious meals, colorful sunsets, and a clean lake to swim in. Would highly recommend for summer camp, corporate outings, weddings, etc.
