Camp JCA Shalom
Shalom Institute Camp and Conf (JCCA)
Camp JCA Shalom is a Jewish overnight camp in the Malibu mountains, run by the Shalom Institute, with four-night mini camps and 11-, 18-, 25- and 31-night sessions for campers entering grades 2 through 12. Campers are grouped into age-based units — Rishonim (entering grades 2-4) through Gesher (grade 9) — and the program includes ropes and climbing, an out-of-camp overnight for older units, and for Gesher a hike to the beach with ocean kayaking and an overnight in Malibu. Teen leadership tracks (TASC for grades 10-11, the four-week Kibbutz for grade 11, and a CIT program for grade 12, which requires an interview) and a grades 11-12 Israel trip sit above the regular sessions; enrolment is through an online CampInTouch application. Published aid includes need-based scholarships, One Happy Camper first-time grants of $700-$1,000, an $800 new-camper mini-camp promotion, and a voluntary 'Help a Family' rate that subsidises other families.

Google Reviews
Powered by GoogleI was a camper here for multiple years and loved the blend of secular and religious activities. All the fun of a traditional sleep-away camp with the added bonus of connecting with Judaism. Owner Joel Charnick does a great job running this organization. Also, Robbo is fantastic during song session.
This place is literally my home. I have had a blast this summer at the new site. It's not the same as the old site but, it's the people who make JCA so great. I thank Gold Creek Center for lending us their property for as long as we need.
forget what you have learned for you are now entering a magical place
