★★★★★B SutterRating GSHPA'S camps I have visited I would say this one's the best. Your troop can experience Nature while pretend you're pioneers. All the cabins have heat, AC and fully stocked supplies in the kitchen. One site has latrine toliets and primitive cabins if that's your thing. What it lacks in hiking trails it makes up for in wide open spaces, archery, sling shot and low ropes courses. Happy Valley is great for a year camping adventures.

But I wasn't sure about the park lay out, their were no maps and no staff office to go to for information. They had not updated the bulletin board it still had winter activities. I couldn't find a website for the place to look at what the park offered and I went on GSHPA website to get info but none their either. I ended up calling GSHPA and the woman I spoke to didn't really know about the park. Overall, a nice place to take girls for simple meals badge, archery, or star watching but not much else to do.
