Powered by GoogleWhat a horrible experience!!! My toddlers and I stopped by this morning to inquire on membership, tour the facility, get some general info. Three ladies at the front desk/ reception and NOT one person greeted us. We were there standing looking like idiots. Then finally after a few minutes an older lady acknowledged us, but like she was in a rush. I asked if we could check out the facility. She said go upstairs and look. Im like this is our first time here, how do we get upstairs. NOT one smile, not one how can we help you, not one welcome, horrible experiences like we were not welcomed. Few minutes later we walk out and not one person to ask if we had any questions. AND worst part is, I went in determined to sign them up for summer camp. But no thank you! We'll spend our money where we are welcomed. Dont waste your time or money here!
I took my stepdaughter here and she didn’t have experience prior like the other kids. She struggled to do basic skills but because of the crazy teacher to kid ratio, she never got the support or guidance to accomplish the skills. Over time, I’d watch her instructors basically give up on teaching the skills to her and move onto the other experienced students. After seeing my kid sit on the side looking very disinterested and upset, I pulled her out of there. I don’t know if it was a race thing or a size thing but that pissed me off and I was there at every practice and couldn’t say anything. To truly show the lack of individual support, I took my kid to an acro tumbling class in Davidson. In ONE hour, she was able to accomplish most of the basic skills that the CCG instructors had abandoned her for. So if your kid doesn’t meet the skinny caucasian experienced archetype, good luck getting support here.
This place is great !! First time we have been there but it seems be the first rate.. my granddaughter goes there with lots of young kids in each class . All looking like they are having fun and it looks like each child gets attention to their skill level. Very small to college level gymnasts are their at different times ..
My daughter loves going here, she was in a girl's 1 class this year and will be taking a tumbling class this summer, and we also participate in Fun Gym Nights (like a parents night out) which she loves. Everyone here has always been really friendly and helpful. The only downside I have witnessed is the turnaround/moving around of employees. They employ a lot of young workers though so it's to be expected.
My daughter has taken gymnastics here for several years. She started out in recreational classes and eventually was invited to be on the T&T competitive team. The gym is my daughters second home as she spends 9 hours a week training here. Self Discipline, confidence, and dedication are just some things I have enjoyed watching my child gain. As parents we always think we know what’s right for our kids but I have come to learn(not always easily)that sometimes others know what’s good for them as well. CCG is a great place for any child to experience gymnastics!
