Camp Coker is a 335-acre Scouting America (Boy Scouts) overnight camp outside Society Hill, wrapped around Lake Westwood and Belk Island, established in 1929 and named for Charles W. Coker in 1932. Its accredited summer camp program runs June through August and is merit-badge based, covering aquatics (canoeing, rowing, sailing, kayaking, swimming), rifle and shotgun shooting, archery, COPE, handicrafts, ecology and environmental science, fishing, and Scoutcraft, plus a Trailblazers track for Tenderfoot-to-First Class skills. The property is owned by the Camp Coker Trust and leased to the Indian Waters Council, and hosts unit camping, training, and Order of the Arrow events year-round.
