Brook Highland Racquet Club is a membership tennis and swim club in Birmingham with more than 20 courts and an Olympic-size pool. Its junior program, led by USPTA pros, includes youth tennis clinics, an advanced junior academy (ages 10–18), and summer tennis camps for beginner to advanced players. Programs are membership-based.

★★★★Catherine StundaLOVE LOVE LOVE the coaching staff at BHRC. There are several different pros who offer varying goals, styles, strategies, and lesson times. I am especially a big fan of lessons with Jacob McAllister, who additionally offers group clinics and juniors training. There are TONS of courts at BHRC, many more than any other club in the area, and the price to join is very low. The people I’ve met here are wonderful, and I’m so happy to have built a group of teammates and friends in my year of play here. I enjoy the regular socials and informal tournaments. The only reason I did not give 5 stars is because the organization and publication of available team opportunities is not handled by the club management, so finding new groups as you advance in skill can be tricky. I wish the club itself would have a hand in managing team development and update its members on all available leagues. Instead, we rely on word-of-mouth and personal invitations.
