The Boys & Girls Club of the Bemidji Area runs a free summer day camp (Clubhouse Summer Program) for youth entering grades 1–12, June through August, at its Minnesota Avenue clubhouse. Program fees are covered by a grant, so families pay nothing; the Club also offers neighborhood-based Club On-The-Go sessions. Registration required.

The staff is incredible (knows every kid by their first name) and they work hard to help young kids understand their full potential. They take field trips, read to BARK dogs, interact with special guests (law enforcement, Scouts, etc.) and spend as much time as possible outdoors. It’s an awesome place to be a part of.

★★★★Bryan JohnsonIt's a good place for kids in the community. They host a lot of the Bemidji Youth Basketball League practices and games. Unfortunately, I don't think they have a lot of backing so the gyms are falling into disrepair. The floor needs serious attention and the backboards are falling apart, but like I said, they do offer great things for the kids. When my girls were younger, our oldest did a Spanish day camp here and loved it. While the gym isn't in great shape, it is large enough to run two games at a time or have four teams practicing on half courts. They do an annual craft show. They used to sell Christmas trees every year (I guess I'm not sure if they still do).
