Roger is an incredible tennis instructor, I truly can’t recommend him enough!! As a beginner, I initially felt intimidated by the sport, but from the first lesson, Roger made it approachable and enjoyable. He focuses on technique and strategy, and I’ve seen clear improvement in my forehand, backhand, and overall game with each session. Roger is very patient, attentive, and encouraging. He takes the time to explain what went wrong in each swing and how to correct it, which has made such a difference. What also stood out is that friends of mine who are experienced tennis players and know Roger from being at the courts have spoken highly of him as a coach, which just reinforced that I found an exceptional coach. Roger turned something I once felt intimidated by into something I genuinely look forward to and feel excited about continuing…I truly can’t recommend him enough for anyone starting out or looking to improve!

Roger is an exceptional tennis coach and one of the only coaches in West LA truly focused on teaching kids the correct form and technique from the beginning. As a former Division I college tennis player, I'm very particular about fundamentals and building the right foundation. Roger does exactly that with every one of his students. What sets him apart is his ability to combine strong technical instruction with a calm and encouraging temperament. He's patient, thoughtful, and incredibly positive with the kids while still holding them to a high standard. It's rare to find a coach who cares this much about doing things the right way. If you want your child to actually learn proper tennis-not just hit balls-Roger is the coach you want.

I've been taking lessons from Roger, whose last name I don't remember but I do know his email address. It's been a number of years now that I've been working with him. Truth is: Roger is a real pro: skilled, knowledgeable and patient. I joke that I only need to do ONE thing for my tennis to be perfect: do everything Roger says. Seriously though, he reads my tennis so well: when I miss a shot, if I ask, he can tell me precisely what I did to produce that result. I also feel really lucky to have Roger be my teacher because I get to speak Spanish with him, and thus return to my Barcelona Spain younger years. So a tennis lesson with Roger is wonderful, and is accompanied by a little Spanish conversation. What's not to like?

We’ve had the pleasure of working with Coach Roger for our daughters’ private tennis lessons, and we couldn’t be more satisfied. He is a seasoned and highly trusted professional in the tennis community, with years of experience that truly show in his teaching approach. Coach Roger is the perfect combination of discipline, patience, and professionalism. He is always punctual, well-prepared, and incredibly supportive, especially with beginners. Our daughters have not only improved their technique and understanding of the game but have also grown in confidence and discipline through his guidance. What sets him apart is his genuine understanding of family life. He knows that parents sometimes face unexpected delays and has always been accommodating and kind. It’s clear that he cares not only about his students’ progress on the court but also about building a positive, respectful relationship with the whole family. If you’re looking for a private tennis coach who is reliable, experienced, and truly passionate about what he does, Coach Roger is an excellent choice. We highly recommend him to anyone looking to elevate their or their child’s game in a supportive and professional environment.

Roger is by far, without comparison the best instructor of tennis I have ever seen. It became clear to me about 5 minutes into our first lesson. He is different, and immediately pinpointed my stroke mechanics and corrected my technique. Roger patience for each student is remarkable and he takes his time to explain the logic behind proper technique so that you can fully grasp and remember it. He was able to improve my game within just the first lesson. I have been playing tennis my whole life and I knew his corrections were working because when I played like he instructed, my game felt much more natural. His form of tennis is full of grace and power. Roger teaches tennis using all the contemporary techniques of the current tour players. He combines his years of experience with his very current grasp of today's contemporary power game. My lessons with Roger are truly the highlight of my week. He takes the time to explain the game, both the physical techniques, but more importantly, the mental side of the game. He explains things in ways that are very unique and extremely vivid (funny too); trust me when I say that there is no one like him out there. I have worked with many teachers and coaches. I can unequivocally recommend Roger to anyone - (any student at any age or level). I feel lucky to be his student and I know the benefits of my time with him will last a lifetime. He has given to me the tools to succeed, confidence to use them, and the gift of tennis.
