Bartlett YMCA
Private
Day camp run by the YMCA of Memphis & the Mid-South at its Bartlett branch, where each week carries a different theme built around arts and crafts, science, sports, nature, and swimming and water safety. The Y runs the same camp program at 11 area locations across Greater Memphis and DeSoto County, with fee assistance available so cost is not a barrier and special-needs support arranged by contacting the branch. Registration for summer 2026 is open through the YMCA's online camp portal.

Powered by GoogleI would not recommend this particular YMCA. I registered my son for private swim lessons on March 17,2026. As of today, my son has still not been able to start swimming lessons, I’ve had to leave multiple messages every week since for the Aquatics Director who took until March 30, 2026 to get back with me. The Aquatics Director was apologetic and assured me he would get with the instructors and give me a call back. On April 8, 2026 I called back due to the fact I still had not heard from anyone and was told that he was gone for the day and they would send a message. On April 14, 2026 I called and requested for a refund of funds spent. I was told that it would have to be approved and sent up the chain of command. I was also given an incorrect email to the District Manager Jennifer Fields. As of today, I still have not heard from anyone, nor have I been contacted via email or phone, and no refund has been given. I am beyond disappointed in the lack of professionalism and respect for the time of others. I do understand that this is a business and that things get busy but to go almost a month with little communication and lack of a refund is subpar behavior for a supposedly prominent business.
Very impressed with the Bartlett YMCA. Everyone is helpful and very friendly. It offers a lot of of different activities.
Don’t join unless you want to be phantom billed. We have been trying to cancel our membership since October 2025. We attempted to cancel our YMCA membership exactly as instructed. We were told cancellation had to be done in person, which we did by going into the YMCA and canceling directly. Despite this, the YMCA continued to charge our account. When we stopped payment through our bank, the YMCA changed the billing name and continued charging us anyway. We went into the facility again to cancel our membership after seeing we are still being billed. Do better YMCA and stop billing people who don’t want to be members. This feels deceptive and unethical.
When it's nice, it's nice. When it's bad, it's really bad. The pool is often off limits to the public, but my family joined primarily to swim. We have been turned away from the pool many times which means disappointed kids, and parents. We pay every month to use the pool so you do start feeling like you don't get your money's worth. I would explore other options before joining the Bartlett YMCA.
I really enjoy going to this Y. It’s so convenient and the staff members are so friendly and accommodating. Cannot wait until renovation is complete…
