Ballet Quad Cities School of Dance runs a summer intensive for ages 12 and up, with days built around ballet technique plus pointe or pre-pointe, and rotating disciplines including character, choreography, modern, tap, jazz and hip hop, opened each morning with yoga, body conditioning or recovery work. The intensive runs Monday through Thursday, 8:30am-2:00pm, over three weeks in June, with tuition of $800 for three weeks or $650 for two; dancers bring their own lunch. Faculty are the professional company's artists and guest teachers, and younger dancers below Level 5 are admitted by invitation only.
