First time visiting the BCT. Misery was the Play I came and a saw with a coworker. It was difficult to find the entrance. The theater itself is small but nice for being as old as it is. The building you pay and get refreshments in has some wonderful pictures of the history and even a photoalbum with newspaper clippings. Overall experience was wonderful.

I recently watched my friend's children's camp performance at Bakersfield Community Theatre, and it was fantastic. The camp, held at this historic theater, provides a creative and supportive environment for kids. The final performance was full of energy and showcased the children's hard work and enthusiasm. The instructors were passionate and ensured every child felt included and inspired. Overall, the camp is a great opportunity for kids to explore theater, make friends, and gain confidence. I thoroughly enjoyed the performance and highly recommend it for young aspiring actors.

Just saw a wonderful play here. Great cast. Longest standing theater in all of California I believe they are on their 96th season. Definitely has a vintage feel to it and I highly recommend. Tickets are very reasonably priced. All the staff and actors were great! If your a local or from out of town check out BCT
